• There are a lot of features for this combo tablet. I'm doing an online degree and hauling my home laptop everywhere or splitting time with my family was tough. The Transformer has truly replaced my laptop. Now for the extra features: You can charge the laptop in two different ways: Through the regular micro USB or the high-speed C connector. It has an HDMI and an audio port also. When connected to the keyboard has a regular USB. With the C connector and a C to USB adapter, you can use the USB on the tablet by itself without the keyboard. I'm a big guy, but I am still able to manage the small keyboard. What else do you need to know? The bottom line for me was that I needed a full Windows operational, easy to carry a device that I can use to read my books, that the battery life will last a whole airplane trip no matter what I was doing and I didn't want to spend over $600 on a Surface or other device. This is a great device for $300.

DOES THE ASUS TRANSFORMER BOOK T100HA-C4-GR HAVE A MICRO SD MEMORY SLOT?
• Here is the correct answer. ACCORDING to ASUS's own website, their user manual and my personal handling of this model - it handles MICRO SD cards from SD through XC. WHat doers that mean? Below are the definitions of those terms...but basically it means this model can accept all forms of micro SD cards. Micro SD = 2 GB or less. Micro SD HC = between 4 and 32 GB. Micro SD XC = 32 GB to 2 TB currently. Now, what is UNCLEAR is the capacity recognition limit of the card reader. ASUS does not provide any documentation. Theoretically, it should utilize up to 128GB sized cards...but it should also handle more than that. I do not have any definite limitation answer to provide here.
• So which of the above is correct? Even on the Asus specs per their website, it's listed as a microSD/microSDXC 2-in-1 card reader. I do assume the 64GB is the limit on size, however?

• Honestly I do not know. I will point out there is only one micro USB port (not a full size USB), so you need to know how you plan to connect the scanner to this "tablet". Also, remember there is limited SSD storage space. I will say the unit is light weight, fast and the battery life is truly long as billed.
• I am very happy with this laptop - perfectly fits my need for a small ultraportable laptop for travel - and the detachable tablet is a bonus. But I wouldn't think it would be optimal for scanning - it has a 10" screen and limited memory - great for traveling but not ideal I would think for a scanning application

• Getting a Docking station might be hard for this model...you cannot add to it because it does not have any port to it..only one USB port...and that is only USB 3.0, you can add wireless or bluetooth keyboard ..Hope you find it helpfull...Thank you

• Actually, I am writing word document with this tablet.... but it still does not have Microsoft office. it has instead "word mobile" and "wordpad" with wich I can write word documents. it also has powerpiont mobile and excel mobile. if you wont Microsoft office you deserve a trial of one month, after the trial you can buy office 365 by paying each month something like 8 or more dollars.

• It is both. With the tablet connected to the keyboard dock you can use it as a small laptop. Or you can pull the tablet off and have a 10 inch tablet. I sent mine back as the touch screen kept locking up and I bought it mainly for use as a tablet so it was pretty useless for me.

I bought it because its light and fast with plenty of storage, outruns my i5 HP laptop I bought last year.

In some cases(but it's extremely dangerous!) bending tablet a bit could help for a while. Anyway, ASUS should had take a bit more attention to tablet design. It seems that this issue caused by chasing "thinner, lighter" design at the expense of reability

CAN THE SLOW CHARGING BE FIXED BY USING A DIFFERENT AC ADAPTER?
• If the battery is charging really slow, please verify if the BIOS version is 211. If the BIOS version is up to date and the issue persists, please try to do a battery calibration manually by draining the battery completely without the AC adapter connected then charge it fully without the system being used or power on.
• The slow charging only occurs if the tablet is completely dead, and using a different adapter would not solve anything.
