An AmazonBasics Bluetooth Keyboard for Android Review Won't Answer These 39 Questions - Part 2 of 2

★★★★★ An AmazonBasics Bluetooth Keyboard for Android review will not answer these 39 questions. Get the truth from people who own an AmazonBasics Bluetooth Keyboard for Android, including the fact that it won't...

QUESTION: DOES THE "CAPS LOCK KEY" HAVE AN INDICATOR LIGHT WHEN IN USE?
• No indication for caps lock.
• No, there is no indicator light to tell you if CAPS are on.
• Mine doesn't' so just be sure and press it down when needed! Just experiment with it to see! Sorry couldn't't be more helpful!
• I couldn't recall if it does have an indicator for caps lock and num lock. It's a great little keyboard and works well when I'm in my hotel room using my Kindle Fire HD. The AAA batteries seem to hold up well to use and I would highly recommend this device.
• No it doesn't, you have to try it out
• No, the one I have does not have an indicator light.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE TYPICAL BATTERY LIFE FOR THIS KEYBOARD?... TIA...
• I returned it so I don't know anything about it. Sorry.
• altho I don't use the keyboard that often, I can tell you that mine's still operating on the same battery I put in it when I bought 9 months ago

QUESTION: WILL THIS KEYBOARD WORK WITH THE REG KINDLE FIRE 7 INCH ? I DON'T SEE A BLUE TOOTH SETTING ON MY KINDLE FIRE AT ALL.
• Negative, it will not. I have the kindle fire HD, as well as the initial kindle fire 7', and that first model does not have Bluetooth. In this case it will not work for that tablet
• I would think that in settings you would have a Bluetooth app to click on and off to connect with it if your kindle has that on it. I have a new kindle Fire HD 8.9 and when I go into settings there is a Bluetooth app to click on. When you click on the app then you turn it on and enter some numbers from the keyboard to sync them. It works fine.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE POWER SOURCE FOR IT?
• 2 AAA batteries. Haven't replaced them yet.
• Bluetooth, you just have to activate it on your Kindle and you are good to go.
• 2 x AA battery
• Thank you. I really appreciate it.
• Two AAA batteries
• AAA batteries

QUESTION: DOES THIS KEYBOARD WORK WITH THE OLDER KINDLE FIRE TABLET THAT PRECEDED THE CURRENT HD VERSION?
• Yes, works with any bluetooth smartdevice.
• I'm not sure, as this is my first kindle- fire HD- however, I would suggest calling kindle support- their pretty great and should be able to answer. Also, being that this works with the blue tooth option found in the wireless settings, I would assume that along as the fire tablet has that it will work. p.s. I'm typing this answer to you on the keyboard :)
• The original Fire lacks bluetooth, thus a bluetooth keyboard will not work with it.
• No, the older Kindle does not have Bluetooth

QUESTION: DOES IT WORKS WITH LENOVO IDEATAB S6000 TABLET?
• If your device has a Bluetooth ability, this headset should pair with it.
• If it has Bluetooth it will work.
• I don't have the tablet so can't comment. However, it does work well on my android phone.

QUESTION: HOW DO YOU PROP UP THE KINDLE TO SEE IT WHEN YOU TYPE. DO YOU HAVE TO BUY A SPECIAL CASE?
• The keyboard comes with a simple but effective stand that holds the Kindle upright. Don't know why it isn't shown in their product illustration.
• I have the roocase which I believe is the best case for the Kindle
• the keyboard comes with a tablet holder but chances are you already have a case that will prop up the tablet
• I bought a case that allows the user to prop up the keyboard at several different angles. it is a bluetooth keyboard, i'm not sure of the name of the keyboard it is an Amazon Basics board sold through Amazon.

QUESTION: WORK WITH MACBOOKS?
• no. cannot help
• I don't know, but I doubt it. You probably would have to get something that works with OSX. It would probably say right on the product description. The keyboard works with my kindle, but not with my windows phone.

QUESTION: WILL THIS ONE FIT NEXUS 7 1ST GENERATION?
• There is no "fit". It's bluetooth and will work just fine.
• I use it with my 2nd gen Nexus 7, considering they run the same software I would think it is safe to say yes, this will work with the first gen as well.
• It is Blue Tooth so it should work just fine. Its a nice key board
• Should not be a problem syncing with your Nexus over Wi-Fi. I find the keyboard is excellent for the cost. Works well. Good range. Did find that the batteries included with this didn't last but 2 days of use. On new batteries and it is going fine. You will enjoy using this keyboard.

QUESTION: DOES THIS KEYBOARD WORK WITH A KINDLE FIRE 7 HDX?
• Yes.
• Yes, but it doesn't attach to it so it's awkward to see the screen and type on the keyboard at the same time.
• Yes, it works great he Kindle finds it and links with it real nice, enjoy

QUESTION: CAN I CHANGE THE INPUT LANGUAGE ON THIS KEYBOARD? HOW DO I DO THAT?
• I cannot answer your question; call Amazon or Google, the joint creators of this Android system and they will point you in the right direction. Enjoy
• Sorry, can't answer your question. If you call amazon and talk to a rep from kindle they should be able to answer it or at least point you to who can.
• The keyboard is qwerty standard English, no other language.
• Honestly, I'm not sure. You might have some luck if you contact amazon. They are the ones that make the keyboard, they are very helpful and I'm sure they will find a solution for you.

QUESTION: WHEN WILL THIS BE RELEASED /
• It's there now - I own one.
• I bought it 3 months ago, so its been out a while.
• I own one and it's available. :)

• Yes it will. The stand is wide enough and will allows you to place your Kindle 8.9" in it even with the Otter Box. Very good to travel. It's plastic but durable. The opening for you to place the Kindle Fire 8.9" is 3/4" wide (tilted) and 1" tall. Hope this helps you!
• The keyboard comes with a stand? I don't understand this question, but I have the Otterbox Defender and would like to know what this is about.

• No, but here is one that does. Poetic KeyBook Bluetooth Keyboard Case for Nook HD+ 9 Black(Support Auto Sleep/Wake Function)(3 Year Manufacturer Warranty From Poetic)
• Yes, very well.
• This keyboard does work with nook hd +. The only problem is that when you turn on the bluetooth on your hd+ is sees the keyboard and tell you that it is paird. That is no true. you have to unpair it and then pair it again and it will give you the code to type onto the keyboard to pair it.

QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED WITH KINDLE FIRE HDX
• From what I've learned this was made for Amazon products such as that one. I bought this for a Samsung tablet. I highly recommend!
• Yes. I use it with mine no problem.

QUESTION: I AM CONSIDERING BUYING A VISUAL LAND 4.1 7" TABLET. WILL THIS WORK WITH IT AND CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW LONG IT IS? I HAVE LOOKED AND LOOKED FOR SPECS AND CANNOT FIND. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
• I don't know if if will work with tablets other than the Kindle Fire HD. It is about 12 inches long.
• I wish I could help. I really have no idea. It works with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone, as well as my Kindle HD. If you get the Visual Land 4.1, you can probably order the keyboard to try it out and return it if it does not work. Turns out I have not used the keyboard much with my Kindle. I like having it though.

QUESTION: IS THIS KEYBOARD SUPPORTED FOR KINDLE FIRE HDX (THIRD GENERATION)
• Yes
• It works, but I would recommend the other keyboard for the Kindle Fire HDX, the one that closes like a cover over the unit,
• Yes

• Once paired, it keeps the linkage. When I turn the keyboard on, Bluetooth connection is very fast; almost instantaneous.
• It is very fast. I have not really had any problems. It has disconnected, but reconnection is so fast for me there is no real bother. Love this keyboard.
• I only use this for large documents. It does not go idle and has never lost connection with my Kindle HDX 8.9
• Very quick to connect. I don't leave it on to go to sleep since I read and use with kids for games mostly. Never have lost connection. Good luck.

QUESTION: WILL THIS WORK WITH A SMART TV SHARP AQUOS?
• Not sure. I don't have a smart TV. I would think it should; you could try googling your TV and Bluetooth keyboard
• Sorry, I can't help with this one. Farron

QUESTION: WILL THIS KEYBOARD RUN ON AAA SIZED NIMH RECHARGEABLES (1.2V)?
• Yes it does.
• I see no reason why not. I have two of Walgreens brand AAA ultra alkaline and am having no problem with them powering up the keyboard.
• I don't see why not.
• I'm wondering if you or any of the respondents have given this keyboard a longer trial on NiMH batteries yet. I'm having a bad experience with a Bluetooth keyboard from Anker that works on them for a few hours, then goes kaput, even though there's plenty of charge left. So I wouldn't trust any of these a priori answers, or answers based on a quick power-up test.

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK WITH A PC?
• It does indeed... I am using it with Kindle Fire HD as well.
• I don't know. I use it with my kindle.
• No I am not able to connect to my PC only my galaxy III and kindle

• I don't know much about how the Dell Venue runs but if it connects through Blue Tooth, this key board might work fine. With a Kindle I select Blue Tooth and I can located my keyboard. Keyboard must be on before tablet is (at least in my case with the Kindle HD) Hope this helps you some. KB
• I purchased the keyboard to use with my Kindle. I'm not familiar with Dell. However if your computer is Bluetooth capable it might work.
• I would ask an Amazon associate, but I'm pretty sure it will connect to anything that connects to Bluetooth.

QUESTION: BATTERY
• No, charger.
• It takes two AAA batteries.
• Love to try to answer the question. What IS the question?
• [Deleted by the author on Dec 9, 2013 9:16:15 AM PST]

QUESTION: HAVE THE CONNECTION PROBLEMS AND KEY REPEATING PROBLEMS BEEN SOLVED WITH THE AMAZON BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD?
• Don't know. I switched to Logitech's K810
• Mine seems to work fine. Connects quickly and the keys seem to be normal.
• I haven't experienced either, but I've only had the keyboard a month. The only thing I've noticed is if I'm on the Silk browser and I turn the keyboard on, it causes the browser to reload.
• I'm having not further problems with the keyboard, it has functioned just fine.
• I have had no problems at all using it with my kindle fire hdx.

• No it does not come with a case.I have not looked to see if they make one to buy at another cost.
• No, it doesn't. However, I love this keyboard and have found a case easily to fit.
• No case, just the keyboard--but it is a nice little keyboard!
• Sadly, no. Cases can be improvised, but nothing I know of ready-made. The keyboard, however, really makes the Kindle ultra-usable.
• No, but the Cosmos neoprene cover is perfect. I'd post a link but I'm on my phone. Just search for it on Amazon and you'll find it. It fits the keyboard perfectly.

QUESTION: WILL THIS KEYBOARD WORK WITH THE 'REGULAR' KINDLE FIRE ,(I DON'T HAVE THE HD VERSIONS).?
• Unfortunately not...There is no blue tooth capability on the non HD versions.
• My initial response is unfortunately 'No', but the way to be sure is to establish if your Kindle has "Bluetooth" capability. If it does then you can use the keybd.
• I have no idea. If the regular kindle fire has bluetooth capability, it should work. Keyboard simply works as bluetooth device.
• Hi Brenda... I'm sorry I really couldn't say. It does work perfectly well with my Android tablet.

QUESTION: DOES THIS KEYBOARD WORK WITH THE NEW KINDLE FIRE 10
• Yes
• Any Bluetooth will work with a Kindle fire 10.

• The keyboard should work with any Bluetooth compatible computer, tablet, etc...If you computer does not have bluetooth no.
• Sorry, but I don't know. I just use turn on the blue tooth on the Kindle, puch connect and it works fine. Sorry.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE PIN?
• 0000 or 1234 and then press enter on the keyboard.
• When I first paired my keyboard to my Kindle Fire HD 8.9" it gave a pin. I forgot the number but I assume it would be a different pin than I used. I have not seen the pin since. But it was not 0000 OR 1234 like pairing up a headset etc.
• If you are referring to the code which completes the pairing process it came up on the screen as the two units (keyboard and kindle) recognized each other. Then I just typed the number on the screen using the new keyboard and the pairing was complete.

QUESTION: WORK WITH IPAD?
• It's bluetooth, so I'm assuming it would work fine.
• AFAIK, yes it does.

QUESTION: DOES THIS KEYBOARD ACTUALLY USE BLUETOOTH AND PAIR WITH THE KINDLE FIRE HD 7''
• Most certainly it does. My husband uses it and so so I. Eliminates the laptop and travels with us. Easy to set up and use.
• Yes. I turn on the BT on the Kindle and turn on the keyboard. At first I was over thinking it like a BT headphone but its simple. Once it's done it's fine.
• Yes..and it was easy to pair.
• Yes it does. It won't work unless you're in a wifi area.
• Works with mine. Pairs quickly and, so far, works very well. Must have for office apps.
