FIRE KIDS EDITION

★★★★★ A FIRE KIDS EDITION review will not answer these 19 questions. Get the truth from people who own a FIRE KIDS EDITION, including the fact that it won't...

I'M TRYING TO DECIDE BETWEEN THE FIRE HD6 KIDS EDITION ($149) AND THE FIRE KIDS EDITION ($99). I CAN'T FIND ANY COMPARISONS ONLINE. THOUGHTS?

• based on the $99 kids edition at this link Fire Kids Edition, 7" Display, Wi-Fi, 8 GB, Blue Kid-Proof Case vs the $149 version at this link: Fire HD 6 Kids Edition, 6" HD Display, Wi-Fi, 8 GB, Pink Kid-Proof Case I would go with the $99 version because it comes with the SD card* slot so you can add up to 128GB of storage. The available storage is really only 4.5GB and if you use too much it shuts down the wifi. The only problem I had with the new version with the SD slot is that you can't play music in FreeTime. *Fire tablets support all classes of Ultra High Speed (UHS) MicroSD Cards. For non-UHS MicroSD Cards, Amazon recommends Class 10 MicroSD Cards for optimal performance. Class 2 MicroSD cards may not perform well enough to support video playback or capturing burst mode photos.

• Do NOT get the HD Kids Kindle for $150. I purchased one and immediately returned it because my non-gamer child filled the available storage within one day, it shut down and wouldn't connect to wifi, which is needed to delete content. Massive headache. I purchased the regular HD Fire instead (non-kid version) and while it doesn't fill up as quickly, I still have to go through his content every other day to delete things (that he's using daily too and then has to redownload, so dumb). I purchased this new Kids Kindle for $99 and while we haven't used it yet (gift for my daughter's birthday in a week), knowing that it has a micro-SD slot for additional storage is all I need to know it's a thousand times better than the original Kids Kindle. Kids do not need HD anyway.

• I have the 99 dollar one which is the newer model ( don't ask me why it is cheaper ). I like mine. It is a bit confusing how to allow certain things etc because there are two completely different operating systems working .. one is for you and the other is for the kid. There is a lot of control over what your child can do and it is a good size and does more than enough for my child. I hope this helps. Sorry I cannot give a comparison. When I bought mine I went with the cheaper because it was the newer model and I could not find any major differences except the 99 had a 7 or 8 inch screen and the 149 one had a smaller screen

• My grandson loves his fire kids Kindle . It has games and books already on it . the books read to him. He's even dropped it a few time and case that comes with it protected it. It has a timer you can set so it turns off. It's easy to use and we love it

• Not sure about the specs but the hd6 is a 6 inch tablet and the kids Kindle is 7 inches. I returned the kids Kindle and got the galaxy tab 4 7 inch. IMO a way better choice.

• The 6 is hd the 7 is not . The 7 has a memory card slot the 6 does not. They both have freetime for a year and 2 year guarantees

• My granddaughter is 30 months and loves the 7 I bought her. You can down load things on memory card and use without wi

• Don't buy either I returned mine getting a iPad instead

• I would suggest go for kids kindle $99 ...

MY DAUGHTER IS ALMOST 9. IS SHE TO OLD FOR THE FIRE KIDS EDITION?

• I just got the one for a 9 year old who's birthday is today. I played around with it and it's a smaller version of the 8.9 HDX I have. Not as sophisticated of course buts it's still a regular fire tablet so all will be good. Just get a lot of kid perks with it. It's just a fire 7. It actually has a couple features mine doesn't that I wish it had. Worth it definitely.

• Like has been stated, it's a normal Fire 7 with kid stuff pre-installed and durability included (case and waranty). There is actually an option for "teen profiles" for older kids (not mentioned in descriptions). It looks to be built to somewhat grow with your kids or be a "family tablet". Age isn't really a factor I've seen.

• Sorry, I don't know. I got them for my granddaughters for Christmas. Good Luck.

CAN YOU DOWNLOAD YOU TUBE ON THE FIRE KIDS EDITION?

• Hi Carrie! I couldn't load YouTube on the children's profile, but you can switch between the child profile and parent profile easily. I have it on the 11 and under setting, so the 11 and older setting may. You can also share apps that you download on the parent profile to your child's profile. Essentially you can watch YouTube through the browser and there are apps that you can download to take you to YouTube. I hope that helps! We LOVE it so far.

• It is like other tablet. So.. if you can download youtube video with another tablet, you can download it here also.

• Yes this tablet is a very nice childs tablet. And you can download you tube on it.

• Yes! you can use the internet just like on any tablet

• Yes

• Yes

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE KINDLE FIRE FOR $50 AND THE FIRE KIDS EDITION?

• I mainly bought the kids addition bc it came with the case and a really good warranty. The kindle I bought was for a 3yr old so those were big selling points for me. As a prime member I could have accessed the kids apps for a minimal monthly cost but I thought this was best. My older children will get the $50 version.

• I believe the kids edition has a special case, some apps just for kids and the ability to lock it down so that kids do not get to inappropriate sites. It believe it also comes with an extended warranty.

• Has a two year no questions warranty, and one year of freetime. In addition to special parental controls. But other than that, the same as the $50 fire.

IS THE FIRE KIDS EDITION LIKE THE REGULAR FIRE TABLET? I'M BUYING ONE FOR A 5 AND 8 YEAR OLD, BUT THEIR MOM MAY NEED TO USE IT TOO. THE APPS LOOK A LITTLE JUVENILE.

• The tablet also has the ability for an adult to use for certain things. I have five children two got thier Fire tablets last year and this year the two older ones will get theirs....my child are from the ages of 3 months to 7 years.

• It's Ok for Kids, quite slow so an adult may get frustrated. yes, it's just like a regular tablet when it's not in kids mode. But for the price it's not bad.

• They are for children. They are made so children can easily navigate them.

DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE WIFI TO USE THE FIRE KIDS EDITION? CAN THE FIRE KIDS EDITION BE USED IN THE CAR?

• Some things work without wifi. And I think you can download movies to the device so that they will play offline, but we haven't tried it yet.

• My kids haven't had any issues using it in our car. Some apps just don't work, but a lot do. With wifi has better results though.

• Most of the applications dorequire wifi but not all we use it in the car daily with hotspot

• You can read books, take photos, and play some apps off wifi. But I runs mostly on wifi

 RECOMMENDED EARLIEST AGE ???

• The device itself is fine. Apps work just like on an ipad or similar. FreeTime Unlimited is another story if you want to restrict content only to items that you choose for your child. There is no way to limit the "unlimited" content to just a few apps. They have access to the entire library - thousands of items. Too many choices does not work for very young kids, in my opinion.

• Bought for my 16 month old for Christmas so not sue of age but my grandson is able to work my iPAD

CAN I GET YOUTUBE ON THE FIRE KIDS EDITION?

• Yes, you can get YouTube on the Kids Edition. If you want your child to be able to access YouTube on their profile you would have to unblock it in the Parental Controls. You can access it on the locked "adult" profile without unblocking it, however.

• I believe so. I know you can get facebook, I bet you can download the app.

• I downloaded YouTube for Kids with no problem::))

• Yes both via the browser and downloading the app

• Yes, you can download the app.

CAN YOU GET OTHER APPS BESIDES WHATS IN AMAZON?

• It is an Android-based OS, so I assume you could also access GooglePlay and the other Android Marketplace Apps. I purchased this for my boys for Christmas, so we haven't opened them yet.

• I have been able to download all apps that i wanted. So i believe you should be able to get whatever apps you like

• I believe so you just have to do a search or look for the app.

• I'm still figuring it out myself

IS THERE A DIFFERENT LANGUAGES OPTION?

• Yes when you do your initial setup it gives you the option on what language you wanted. Im sure you can go back and change the language when and if you needed to as well.

• Yes , you can switch the language. This is an awesome tablet. I bought it for my 4 yr old. He was able to navigate on his own in 2-3 days.

• I am saving them for Christmas so I am not sure. I haven't opened them up.

• Yes

DOES THE CASE HAVE A KICKSTAND SO IT WILL STAND UP ON A PLANE TRAY TABLE?

• There is no kickstand, though I'd almost expect there is a workable case that has one aftermarket - probably not with so much padding.

• No, and its software is a trap to make you depend on prime

• It didn't come with one. Other than that I don't know.

• No, and it really does not protect the glass.

• No, it doesn't.

• No

CAN MY CHILD ACCESS THE INTERNET ON THE FIRE KIDS EDITION?

• The internet can be accessed through this tablet but not through the child's profile only the adults profile which has to be password locked on this tablet. There is a option for a children over 6 or 7 that may have access to it in a limited capacity but I'm not sure but if your child's under that age then no internet

• Yes.

• Yes

 ARE THERE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BROWSER?

• I do not know I never purchased one it seems that You cannot add only a limited number of Apps

• No physical instructions, but there is an electronic guide on the tablet itself.

DOES THE FIRE KIDS EDITION COME WITH OR WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENTS?

• Its without advertisements, but very limited content is free not like netflix

• I don't believe that there are ads on the kids edition.

DOES THE FIRE KIDS EDITION READ STORIES TO KIDS?

• It's a Christmas gift, I haven't played with it yet-not sure what all it is capable of....

• Yes! So many books in the app section.

DOES THE PROTECTIVE COVER COME OFF?

• These were a gift for my great grandchildren, so I don't know, I'm so sorry I wish I could of helped you.

• Yes it does.

CAN YOU DOWNLOAD THE WIKIPEDIA APP. I WANT SOMETHING WITHOUT THE INTERNET ACCESS, BUT WIKIPEDIA HAS GOOD ANIMAL INFORMATION.

• Yes I can

• Yes can

• Yes

CAN KIDS WATCH NETFLIX ON THE FIRE KIDS EDITION?
• I wish I could answer that, I will not know till Christmas. Its a gift.

• Yes

DOES THE FIRE KIDS EDITION COME WITH A SCREEN PROTECTOR?

• No bought it seperate

• No it doesn't.

• No it doesn't

200 QX BNF

★★★★★ A 200 QX BNF review will not answer these 26 questions. Get the truth from people who own a 200 QX BNF, including the fact that it won't...

DOES THE 200 QX BNF FIT A GOPRO?

• It does not have a standard mount for a GoPro, however it does have enough lift to carry one (search youtube and you can find several videos to attest). I have not yet tried doing that myself, but my gut feeling is that the weight of the GoPro is about the upper limit for what the 200 can carry and still fly well. That will be adequate for swoopy flyaround shots, but if you want to do aerial photography (focusing on the quality of the video, rather than the thrill of the ride), just strapping a camera to the drone isn't enough. You'll want gear to reduce vibration, and a gimbal to keep the camera steady and level as the drone maneuvers. That's where the 200 will prove inadequate, and you'll need a bigger drone like the 350 or a Phantom or something. To me, it looks like the most promising use of the 200 is for FPV sport flying, carrying a lighter camera (like the Mobius) and a video transmitter. You can even use all the gear from the 200 and mount it on a third-party carbon-fibre body to help save weight and improve crash resistance.

• Yes, it will pick up a gopro. But there is no mounts made for it. I used rubber bands. And it doesn't perform well with the extra weight. The 200qx is a fun sport quad, but if you want to get good video, get the 350qx3 and a gopro gimbal or the AP combo. I bought a 200qx with the intention of video, and ended up also getting a 350qx3. They are very different quads. Both are great.

• No, A gopro is too big and heavy for it, you will need to buy the 350QX, if you want to mount a gopro.

HOW MUCH FLYING TIME IS ON ONE CHARGE?

• I have never gotten more than 5.5 minutes of flying even with aftermarket higher capacity 950mah batteries. I usually stop at 5 minutes to keep from over stressing li-poly batteries which should not be discharged passed 20% capacity (leaving 20% remaining) or 3.3 volts per cell under load. When I adhere to his rule I can expect to have batteries perform well for about 6 months, compared to 2 months if I run them passed 3.3v under load and leaving less than 20% battery power remaining.

• If you are just cruising around at decent speeds getting 7-9 minutes isn't unusual.. If you are doing 3D it's going to entirely depend on how well U manage throttle and how aggressive you are flying.. Also if you are using sport vs 3d sport blades.. Most aggressive can be as short as 4-5 minutes.. In stock configuration it's not a bad flight time at all compared to a shorter flight I get out of say a 350qx2 with gimbal and gopro installed.

• Really depends on how you fly it. Aggressive flight will give about 5 minutes. Mellow flight maybe 7 minutes. Inverted flight will yield under 5 minute flight times. Best to buy multiple batteries and just swap them out.

• 7 minutes or so. If you flight it hard it will be a little less. I have flown mine with the stock pack and other packs and they all seem about the same.

• They say 5-6 min. I have my timer set to 5 min. never have hit the LVC. This is just hovering it around on my back deck though.

• Depends...without camera or other payload: I get about 7 minutes. Buy xtra batteries.

• Approx, 8-10 minutes depending on how your flying

• About 15 mins

DOES THE 200 QX BNF HAVE THE NEWEST FIRMWARE ENABLING 3D FLIGHT?

• New Firmware Update The firmware update for the Blade 200 QX unlocks three additional flight modes so you can experience the aerobatic potential of the 200 QX. While the updated firmware software is free, the Blade 200 QX update cable is required to install the software to a 200 QX. Additionally, pilots must install the appropriate propellers prior to flight in order to experience each flight mode to its full extent. 3D Stagility 3D Stagility Mode features a self-leveling characteristic that's active when the control sticks are released. Whether you're flying inverted or upright, the 200 QX will self-level so you can learn inverted flight with mild assistance. When flying in this mode, 0-50% throttle is reversed thrust and 51%-100 is positive thrust. 3D Agility 3D Agility Mode was designed for experienced pilots, anyone who has mastered inverted flight in all orientations and advanced pilots looking for a full 3D flying experience with no self-leveling. When flying in this mode, 0-50% throttle is reversed thrust; 51%-100 is positive thrust.

• No, but firmware is free to download. You will need a cable called USB-Interface (part number BLH7840). In addition, you will need to purchase the 3D props - there are two versions of 3D props called Sport (BLH7714) or 3D (BLH7715). I downloaded and installed the firmware today with no issues. The 200 QX is a blast to fly. Fly safe and good luck.

• No it does not. It's optional and can only be updated using a cable sold separately.

WHAT KIND OF RADIO CONTROLLER DOES THE 200 QX BNF USE? I DON'T SEE ONE IN THE PHOTO?

• All BNF aircraft are "Bind and Fly" which means you need to provide your own radio. The 200QX will work with most Spektrum radios and probably most that support DSM2/DSMX.

• It is a bind n fly version that will bind to any spektrum dsm/dsm2 controller over 4 channels. The dx5 or dx6i work well. They are sold separately though

• BNF: Bind-and-Fly means you provide your own DSM transmitter. I use a Spektrum DX8 with all my models. This quad is very fun to fly - recommend.

• I use spektrum dx6 but any programable radio transmitter will work, and I just used YouTube videos to set it all up, not to difficult

• You need to buy a remote separately. I use the DX6i remote. You want to get this quadcoptor - it's an amazing little thing!

• It uses at least a six channel radio. Not included. Your local hobby shop can point you in the right direction

• It is recommended by Blade that the DSM2 or the DSMX Transmitter should be used to bind with the 200 qx.

• Bnf means you need your own transmitter

• Can i use the spectrum dx5e (mode 1)?

• Spectrum. I use a DX7S.

CAN THE 200 QX BNF CARRY A 3OZ CAMERA?

• Yes it can. I have a GoPro Hero 3+ and mount that weight 3.1oz. It will cut battery life down to about 3 1/2 minutes but other than that it does a pretty good job. I have attached two links. One of my 200 qx flying in my backyard:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-ISwQKDtdc and the other link on how to make the mount by ARTINCbydb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5sEWNP9Z6c It is not as stable as the bigger birds, so I just put my videos in slow motion to achieve a decent video. Give it a try, its a lot of fun and a great way to start aerial photography on a budget. If your camera does time lapse, try putting your camera on 1 second shots for some great stills.

• I flew a Sony action cam on mine between the legs in my small back yard and got some pretty trick shots. Battery lasts a little shorter. Nice platform.

• This thing might carry a 3 pound camera lol it's awesome yes it will

• Yes, a 3oz camera would be no problem.

• No it may be able to carry one ounce

• Yes, I have a mobius on mine.

• Yes, lots of power

WILL THE TRANSMITTER THAT COMES WITH THE NANO QX 3D RTF WORK BIND WITH THE 20 QX?

• It might as they both use the DSMX. However I would strongly advise not trying this. The 200QX is a very powerful quad with brushless motors and therefore it has a motor startup and shutdown sequence. Even with hobby grade transmitters some people have trouble getting the sequence configured properly. I have no idea how to do this on the BNF transmitter. Additionally the 200QX has three flight modes, not sure how you would configure these without a better controller.

• Yes it will work, I am using the radio from the normal Nano Qx without a problem. See the 200qx manual for a list of compatible radios and the supported flight modes. You can download it from blades website.

• Go to horizon hobby web site, give them a call they could give you the correct answer on your question.

CAN THE RECIEVER BE CHANGED TO ACCEPT ANY TRANSMITTER?

• Anything is possible, but it would not be a good idea. Get one of the Spectrum transmitters and you will have a great quad to fly. The 200 QX is my favorite, I love flying it.

• Yes major modification would be required including soldering. I recommend looking at the DJI Flamewheel quad or hex kits.

• I pretty sure you cannot change the receiver. You can use a Spectrum transmitter but it won't work with a Futaba.

• No, it's not recommended. It would require too many modifications to be worth while.

• No you can't unless u change the flight controller power distribution and receiver

• No they are built into flight control board the same goes for the qx350

I CAN NOT GET THE BLADES TO TURN, GO DOWN TO CENTER BOTH STICKS, UP 5 CLICK WITH TRIM AND LR LR LR W/LEFT STICK AND NOTHING, ANY SUGGETIONS/HELP?

• What type of remote are you using? Did you try it after just 1 click up on the throttle trim? That is usually all it needs. With 5 clicks it may not activate. I would also look back through the settings and make sure everything is done right there.

• Are you turning on the transmitter first,if so are you getting a steady blue light,if so take your throttle trim two clicks past centre ,toggle left stick only left and right quickly.good luck.

• Which radio are you using to bind to the 200qx

DOES THE 200 QX BNF HAVE ENOUGH LIFT POWER TO HOLD THE MOBIUS HD MICRO CAMERA?

• I am not familiar with that camera but this little 200 rocks with plenty of power. I have the Blade 720p HD camera... does fine.

• Yes. Many 200qx owners mount a Mรถbius on it. Quad won't be quite as agile but will certainly carry it.

• Yes it dose and its a little powerhouse works real good with the ladybug FPV camera TX 5805

• Also... they are getting ready to release a Fatshark Micro FPV cam and tx for the 200

• Yes. I am using it for that purpose as i have a mobius camera.

• Yes. It has a lot of power and flys great.

DOES THE 200 QX BNF HAVE AUTO RETURN?

• No the 200QX does not have Auto Return. Some of the more expensive quads have and utilize GPS which allows the quad to return on its own.

• There is no GPS (global positioning system) or RTH (return to home) capability on the 200 QX

• No. Return home functionality requires a GPS and the 200qx does not have that.

• No. It has no GPS capability. You need GPS for return home.

• No. There is no Gps on the Blade 200 qx.

• It Does not have that feature.

• No return home only safe

• No it does not

• No it doesn't.

• No

 WHAT IS SAFE TECHNOLOGY?

• Safe technology is like a 6 axis gyro when you let go of the sticks it will go back to a level hover. With out safe technology when you go forward and let go of the stick it will still keep on forward you have to pull back on the elevator stick to slow it down or make it go into a hover

• In SAFE flight mode it automatically levels the aircraft when you let go of the sticks and limits the bank angle so it does not get away from you to fast when you are first learning to fly. This is a great platform to learn on because it is so capable.

WITH THE 3 MODES OF FLIGHT DOES THE 200 QX BNF HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO PROGRAMMED TRICKS?

• Programmed? You can fly inverted with the one flight mode, but I wouldn't say you can preprogram "tricks" with the press of a button. Of course the one flight mode will perform flips with stick input.

• No programmed tricks. With new firmware update it will do flips and even fly upside down, but only under manual control with an advanced pilot.

• I dont think so but the trick is to not crash it or watch it fly away. I havent flown it yet however.

CAN I ATTACH A GOPRO WITH A GIMBAL?

• No. You'll need a bigger airframe and more lift. Get a dji vision 2+ You can mount a camera to this unit but not a go pro on a gimbal

• No on gimbal, yes on mounting Gopro, see Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5sEWNP9Z6c&index=1&list=FLhcQFgtSuciJ6faElW92Crg

• Legs too short and doesn't have a enough power to carry gimbal, I think

• No

• No

• No

• No

• No

• No

DOES THE 200 QX BNF COME WITH THE FIRMWARE UPGRADE CABLE?

• Nope, it does not. I see that cable here and there for less than $10 I believe. It should come with the darn cable for the cost though in my opinion. I love the 200QX and it is by far my favorite craft to fly including fixed-wing all the way to helis. It is like a smaller, faster, angrier little brother to the 350QX. It's an absolute delight.

• It does not come with firmware upgrade cable..

• No it does not come with the cable

WHERE CAN I BUY THE TRANSMITTER?

• Any SPektrum Transmitter will work, DX7 is a nice unit and provides that standard amount of channels most models will required plus 1 extra. (6Ch is standard, so a DX6 radio will be fine also). All available through amazon or directly through Horizon Hobby or even you local hobby shop.

• At any hobby store or you can go on line to horizon hobbies I got the spectrum dx6

• DX6 is the best. We have both in stock and ready to ship.

• Hobbytown

IS THE 200 QX BNF COMPATIBLE WITH FUTABA RADIOS?

• This quadcopter is just compatible with Spektrum transmitters. I would recommend at least the newest Spektrum DX4e or DX5e (with the 3 position switch) in order to utilize all 3 flight modes!

• As far as I know, It isn´t compatible with the regular futaba radios. It is compatible with Spektrum and Orange Brands radios only.

• You would have to get a spektrum dsm2/dsmx transmitter module for your futuba.

• Check with Blade..My Spectrum dx9 bound right up.

WHAT IS A CHEAP RADIO THAT WILL BIND TO THE 200 QX BNF?

• The best radio in my opinion is the Dx6i. It will allow you to exploit the upgraded firmware available for the QX200 and grow into many other RC models such as quads, helicopters and airplanes.

• The dx4 or dx5 will bind to it. If you go for a second hand dx6i you can program all modes in easier though

• DX5e. We have it in stock and ready to ship

COULD THE 200 QX BNF LIFT ABOUT 8 OUNCES EFFECTLESSLY? I AM ATTEMPTING TO USE MY SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 TO SNAP VIDEO AND PICTURES.

• There is no way that would work you would need a much more powerful quad. I think that It would not leave the ground.

• It will lift a go pro at 50% throttle with the stock blades so I imagine it will lift a phone fine if that helps?

• I think it should have more than enough power

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THE 200 QX BNF GETTING A VERY SHORT RANGE? MY DX8 SHOWS VERY LITTLE SIGNAL AT 20 FEET, BUT AFTER 150 FEET IT DROPS BADLY.

• Mine crash lately and now it doesn't have any distance, I called HH and they said I should replace the main board, that's the smaller one with the antenna.

• Mine will fly to 200 feet (checked on the football field) with no problem on a DX7.

WHAT'S A GOOD INEXPENSIVE TRANSMITTER TO PAIR WITH THE 200 QX BNF?

• +1 on the DX5e - works great with it. Channel 5 Switch - 0 for training; 1 for normal use; 2 for a disaster Set Rate to Lo

• I use the DX5E with the 3 position toggle switch. About 59.99

• I got the spectrum dx6 about 190.00

• Dx5e spertrum work fine and. Cheap

• I recommend DX5e or DX6i

WILL MY MLP4DSM BIND TO THE 200 QX BNF?

• Yes I am using this radio with the 200qx, but you are limited to 2 of 3 modes of flight- low angle stability mode and agility mode where all self leveling is off. To access high angle stability and crash recovery, you need a better radio like dx5e, dxe, or dx6i. All the details are in the manual.

• NEED SPECTRUM TX

WILL THE DX5E WORK WITH THE RECEIVER THAT IS ALREADY IN THE 200 QX BNF?

• Yes the DX5e will be able to be bound with that quad!

• Yes, it will bind directly to the quad.

• Yes the DX5E will work with that

• Yes it will work fine

• Yes it will

DO YOU HAVE TO TURN ON AND OFF THE SAFE MODE OR IS IT ON ALL OF THE TIME??

• It will go acro with a flip of the switch. The crash button works just fine on mine.

• It stays on all the time until u put it in agility mode

• Defalt on all the time

WILL I NEED BUY SPEKTRUM DX6I WITH RECEIVER TO GET 200 QX TO FLY?

• The 200QX has a built in receiver. You will need a DSMX compatible transmitter, the dx6i should be just fine.

• No, just the transmitter, the 200 qx already has a spectrum receiver.

DOES THE 200 QX BNF COME WITH A BATTERY AND A CHARGER?

• Yes it does. It doesn't come with a transmitter. But it does come with one 2 cell battery and a charger for the battery.

• Yes it does have a lipo and a basic charger.

• Yes it does.

DOES THE 200 QX BNF COME WITH A CAMERA?S

• No and good luck mine came with a bad flight control board and would not bind.

• No

BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10

★★★★★ A BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 review will not answer these 21 questions. Get the truth from people who own a BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10, including the fact that it won't...

WILL THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 PLAY FROM MY SIRIUS XM ACCOUNT?

• Great question! As of right now, a Sirius/XM receiver can be connected to the 3.5mm auxiliary jack located on the back of the system. Any device with the Sirius/XM app can also be connected this way or wirelessly through Bluetooth. Any wireless content can also broadcast to other SoundTouch systems in the network. More features for this system are on the way!

• Hello, thank you for your question. Yes the Bose soundtouch can play Sirius xm from an online account. It has Bluetooth capability as well as an aux port. If you are playing it from something like a pc with Bluetooth capability it will work no problem.

• Not directly, if you use the app on the phone then blue tooth yes.if you have it on stereo then on a network yes also.maybe an adaptor by Sirius to convert to Bluetooth

• It is my understanding that it will not at the present time but it may in the future.

HOW MANY SPEAKER UNITS CAN CONNECT TO EACH OTHER? CAN YOU CONNECT ALL THE DIFFERENT ONES IN ONE ROOM? AND CAN YOU HAVE DIFFERENT VOLUME SETTINGS FROM THE APP?

• Excellent questions! SoundTouch can support at least 4 rooms wirelessly on most home routers. Over Ethernet there is no practical limit to the number of rooms that can be supported with other SoundTouch units with Ethernet connectors. There is a simple "Play Everywhere" button in the app that enables multi-room synchronized playback. Volume can be controlled independently on each system with the buttons on the system, remote or the free SoundTouch app on your smartphone, tablet or computer.

• I have 2 units that are connected in different rooms. You can connect them or play separately. The app allows you to adjust a different volume for each room.

• You connect speakers to the control App. Then you can play the same or different music through each speaker. Not sure how many, however I have 2 connected.

DOES THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 WORK WITH THE BOSE WAVE SOUND TOUCH MUSIC SYSTEM IV?

• As a owner of both systems, I can tell you that they work together beautifully using the sound touch wave app. As an example, from my tablet I can play music from Pandora on one or both of the systems. My Bose wave sound touch music system is downstairs and my Bose Soundtouch 10 is upstairs and I can play two different music stations or the same station throughout the house. It works beautifully together!

• Great question! Yes, this SoundTouch 10 can sync with the SoundTouch Wave Music System IV to play the same WiFi audio, using the SoundTouch app. The same works for audio from a device connected to either device via Bluetooth as well.

CAN I USE THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 IF CONNECTED VIA BLUETOOTH WITH MY IPHONE 6, WITHOUT USING THE BOSE APP, LIKE I WOULD WITH A PORTABLE BLUETOOTH SPEAKER?

• Hello Spencer and thank you for the question! You can definitely connect Bluetooth devices including your iPhone 6 wirelessly without using the Bose app.

• Yes, you can! Anything you can stream by Bluetooth on the internet can be played on the Bose SoundTouch system, including YouTube audio.

• I don't have an iPhone but a review by Digital Trends hooked an iPhone6 via bluetooth to a Soundtouch 10. Hope this helps.

• Yes you can that's how I used it I would just connect it through my Bluetooth on my phone.

CAN YOU PLAY MUSIC DIRECTLY USING THE ITUNES APP ON OUR IPHONE/IPAD OR IOS REMOTE APP AND BYPASS THE BOSE APP?

• Great question Richard. The SoundTouch 10 has Bluetooth built into it alongside the Wi-Fi capabilities, it does not have AirPlay. Once connected via Bluetooth you can play music from your device directly to the system without having to access the Bose SoundTouch Controller app.

• Yes. I use amazon prime music and with my speaker synced to blue tooth on the phone and laptop I can get it to play if I manually push the power button on the speaker. I just wait to hear it is connected then play whatever.

CAN I PLAY SOUND FROM MY DESKTOP COMPUTER ?

• Glad you asked. Yes, there are a few ways to play sound from your computer. If the computer has Bluetooth then it can be connected to the Bose system wirelessly, if the computer does not have Bluetooth you could always hard wire the computer directly to the auxiliary input port on the back of the Bose system. Lastly if you are trying to play music from an ITunes or Windows Media player library then you can link that library to the SoundTouch application for playback over Wi-Fi.

• I have been trying to use this for my desktop comp. But it's not working.

CAN I PLUG THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 TO 220V?

• I see that Bose already answered this, but I just want to add that I have three sound touch speakers and have called Bose tech support a few times. They have been the most helpful tech support I have ever used, and are reason enough to buy their product. I would direct any further questions their way. Enjoy!

• Not directly. You would need a converter or split your 220 into two 110. Camper stores often have 220 to 110 splitters in the US.

• Glad you asked. The SoundTouch 10 is signal sensing so you may connect to 220v. Power cords with the proper prongs are available.

CAN YOU PLAY MUSIC THROUGH ITUNES ON MY MAC VIA WIFI LIKE AN APPLE AIRPORT?

• Excellent question. This system does not support airplay however, If you download the SoundTouch application to your Mac computer you can then link your iTunes library to the application and play your iTunes library over Wi-Fi from any device that is running the SoundTouch application. Alternatively Bluetooth can be used to connect the Mac directly to the system wirelessly.

• No but you should be able to play with bluetooth on thr mac to the same effect

• I play my iTunes through it from my iPad . So I'm sure you can with your Mac

CAN I STREAM MUSIC TO THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 WITH "PLAY MUSIC" (ANDROID)?

• Glad you asked David! SoundTouch systems connect wirelessly to your home Wi-Fi network - so the music plays directly from the Internet to the SoundTouch system itself. SoundTouch 10 includes Bluetooth as well, so you can access music services not currently supported by SoundTouch, such as Google Play Music directly from your device.

• VERY IMPORTANT this system has Bluetooth and Bose/WiFi - no airplay unfortunately. Any device with Bluetooth can connect to it...the limitation? You can't stream music to multiple system without using the Bose App.

HOW MANY SPEAKERS COME WITH THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10?

• Glad you asked. The SoundTouch 10 is our smallest SoundTouch system that delivers Bose performance that seems to defy its size in a single-unit. Any one of these systems can be used with another system (from the current series or from a previous series) to create a multi-room audio system.

• Only one. But, you can buy many Speakers and connect forma a sound system

• One speaker.....its all you need.

• One

CAN THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 BE BOUGHT HERE AND USED WHEN I RETURN TO INDIA. DOES THE POWER CORD WORKS THERE ALSO?

• I would have to say that as long as the voltage in India is the same as in the US you can use it there. Just make sure it is between 110v and 120v ac.

• The SoundTouch 10 is signal sensing so it should work in India. You might need to use an adapter or purchase a power cord with the correct prongs.

IF I PURCHASE THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10, CAN I CONNECT IT WITH MY SOUNDLINK MINI IN ANOTHER ROOM?

• Great question! This system can send Bluetooth audio to other SoundTouch systems in the same WiFi network, rather than SoundLink products. It does so by sending that Bluetooth audio through the WiFi router to other SoundTouch systems. Since SoundLink products do not use WiFi, they won't accept that signal.

• I don't believe so, unfortunately. I think they rely on different technologies.

• Yes

HI, HOW MUCH DOES THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 WEIGH?

• Extremely light. I just placed it on a digital scale. I added the remote and it went just over 3 pounds. Hope that helps. It pushes some kind of sound for something so small. Bose has always rocked their products. You can control it with an app on your iPhone or iPad.

• Great question. The SoundTouch 10 system weighs approximately 2.89 lbs.

• According to my scale ~2.875 pounds (~46 oz)

WILL THE SOUNDTOUCH 10 WORK WITH A BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER CONNECTED TO A TV?

• Great question Harry. Although a transmitter will technically work, the experience does not meet Bose expectations. There will be a distracting delay between the audio and video that detracts from the experience and it is not something that we recommend.

• Yes, however keep in mind Bluetooth has slight latency which might bother you while watching movies or playing games

CAN YOU CONNECT AUDIBLE BOOKS FROM AMAZON?

• As Bose said, if you have Audible on an iPhone, Android or other device, you can connect the phone via Bluetooth to SoundTouch and play an Audible book that way. You cannot directly play Audible on ScoundTouch...

• Great question Ken! Yes. You can wirelessly stream music from a Bluetooth device to listen to sources not currently supported by SoundTouch, such as Audible.

CAN MORE THAN ONE BLUETOOTH DEVICE(IPHONES AND IPADS) CONNECT TO AND CONTROL THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10?

• Great question. Yes, this device can be connected to and controlled from any Bluetooth device. It will remember the last 8 paired devices.

• Yes. I've connected both my laptop and my iPhone via bluetooth (not simultaneously, of course) and it's worked well with both.

CAN YOU USE THE BOSE SOUNDTOUCH 10 AS A SPEAKER THAT CONNECTS TO A TV?

• Great question. Yes, you can connect the audio output signal from the TV to the 3.5mm auxiliary terminal on the back of the SoundTouch 10 system.

• If your television has Bluetooth connectivity then I believe so..

• Yes,through the 3.5mm jack on the back.

WHAT IS THE USB CABLE USED FOR?

• Great question! The USB cable is used for an alternate method of initial setup if we need to use a computer rather than a smartphone or tablet.

• To set up the system if you're using laptop or computer to control it and do not have WiFi.

HOW LONG ARE THE SUPPLIED CORDS?

• Thank you for asking. The SoundTouch 10 comes with two cords. The USB cable used for setup is 3 feet long and the power cord is 5 feet long.

• The power cord is about 5 feet long.

• About 2 feet long

CAN THE SOUNDTOUCH 10 BE EXTENDED WITH SONY 5.1 MUSIC SYSTEM SPEAKERS?

• The SoundTouch 10 has no audio output so it cannot be used with the 5.1 speakers.

• I AM NOT SURE

DO I NEED TO CONFIGURE THE SPEAKERS EVERY TIME I PLUG IN AND PLUG OUT?

• Hello Carlos, The speaker will connect automatically.

• No you don't have to

FIRE 8 HD

★★★★★ A FIRE 8 HD review will not answer these 112 questions. Get the truth from people who own a FIRE 8 HD, including the fact that it won't...

I HAVE READ THAT SOME FIRE MODELS HAVE FREEZE AND CRASH PROBLEMS AND HAVE A SHORT LIFE SPAN AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRES. IS THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB A PROBLEM?

• I haven't had any problems with crashes. However, I had to return my original 8 gen. fire due to the volume decreasing every time I would watch hulu, netflix or listen to spotify. The volume would randomly start to go down without anyone touching the volume button. When this would happen I would have to restart the app. This was very frustrating. It would take me a hour to watch a 1/2 hour tv show. I contacted Amazon and was instructed to do a factory reset. That step helped me for one day. I called customer service a second time. They were helpful. I simply asked for an exchange because I still having a volume decreasing issue the customer service agent sent me an email with a return label with no problem. I received the replacement three days later. I have notice that it takes a few seconds longer for the apps that I touch to open, making me to believe that the request is not registering. But it is. I enjoy the fire 8 gen fire. I haven't used every aspect of the tablet just yet but I will!

• I have not had any issues with freezing as of yet. This is a new model and therefore it is still under warranty. One thing I have noticed is that any time I move or bump it the screen goes blank then locks. This is annoying but not to the point where I would return it. I find the battery life is great, overall I am really happy with it.

• At the beginning it´s really annoying the freezing and crashing of some apps, i thought it will be like that all the time... but i was wrong... it hasn´t freeze or crash anymore... i´m really happy with my first tablet experience, at a great price ;)

• Yep. It totally does that. My old kindle was great, but I hate the new 8. Even though mine is new, the battery life sucks. It's like half my old Kindle 7

• I have not had any issues with the HD8.8 so far. I have every generation of fire and my first gen is still working fine (my 9 yr old niece is using it now).

• I have not experienced any default problems with my heater in the short months that I have had it. I am very happy with this unit and still recommend.

WHEN THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB SAYS ADDITIONAL STORAGE HAS TO BE PURCHASED, DOES THE DEVICE COME WITH THE SLOT IN PLACE OR ARE YOU PAYING FOR EXTRA STORAGE?

• It depends on whether you want to store your contents physically on your device or to a cloud. The unit does have an micro SD port that I believe is expandable to 128GB. You can also store to the cloud but only the first 5GB are free. Hope this help clear things up. I would steer clear of this. Yes it is affordable for an inch tablet but for a few extra $ I would get a better unit such as a samsung Tab 4 especially if you plan to use it for a long time.

• The slot is already in place. The additional storage means you have to buy a mini SD memory card, i.e., 16g, 32GB, 64GB OR 128 GB. I purchased the 32GB mini SD Card. My kindle came with 16GB of standard installed memory, but you can add additional memory with a mini SD card.

• The "slot" is easily accessible, it is simple to install more storage memory if you need it. This "slot" is a built in access port for memory installation.

• It comes with 8gb already in the kindle. You can add more memory by getting a Micro SD card from 4gb to 128 gb size. Those are not bad prices on amazons site.

• It comes with an SD slot, you just need a card. I would seriously reconsider getting this. There are better options for the same amount of money.

• Yes, it comes slot for a micro SD which bought and installed. It is good to store photos, videos, and music.

• Yes there is a slot on the right side of the device, you just need to pop it open and insert the chip

• There is a port for the micro sd... The micro disk is not included.

• Pay to have the slot for extra storage

• It has a slot for a mini sd card.

• Dont know but you should be able to check with amazon just got mine 24 hours ago and have been on it for 10 hours still learnin

• Kindle free time for kids. It's excellent and I don't think you would be disappointed.

I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB PRODUCT WITHOUT OFFERS....APPARENTLY NOT AVAILABLE, ONLY WITH THE ANNOYING POPUPS. CAN YOU GET RID OF THEM?

• One...if you've got "annoying pop ups" they are from some free app you've installed. The Fire ONLY shows ads on the screensaver. They do not pop up. Two...yes. You can pay to have the ads removed but if the ads are coming from an app you installed paying to remove the ads isn't going to make any difference because the ads you're seeing aren't coming from Amazon if they're popping up. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices. Choose the Your Devices tab. Choose your Fire. It will say Special Offers: Subscribed then have an Edit link by it. Click Edit, then you'll have to confirm you want to pay to remove ads. The cost is the difference between a Fire with ads, which you bought, and a Fire without ads. But if you're getting pop up ads from an app they're not going away until you uninstall the app that put them there.

• This is a pretty crappy thing to do. Yes, they give you the option to opt out AFTER you decided you want it for the cheaper price they advertise on the main page. How hard would it have been to start with the higher price and then give people the option to get it cheaper with adds? This is supposed to be a platform for buying and using Ebooks and movies from amazon. They should not have adds and the default.

• Buy it new from Amazon and it the area below it will have different options to check if you want them. One is a Kindle without the annoying popups...an extra $15.00, but well worth it.

• On the Amazon website you can pay $15 extra to get one without special offers.

IS THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB WORTH THE EXTRA COST TO GET THE 16GB VERSION INSTEAD OF THE 8GB? DOES THE MICRO SD CARD MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE? WHY HAVE A DIFFERENCE?

• Actually,I went for the 32 gig micro sd card. The price was great here on amazon, and I like to download my Rifftrax movies and shorts in case we have a power outage. We have several every winter. Also,I keep a ton of books on the KF because I like to read 5-6 books at a time. And then there are photos I have taken and kept on the KF. So to answer your question:It all depends on what you use your Kindle for.If it is primarily for ebooks and magazines, then 8gigs would be okay. However, since the 32 gig is so inexpensive,I would get one if I were you.You would be surprised at how quickly 8gigs fill up!! Hope this helped!!

• The reason some people get the bigger one is so they don't have to get the SD card and others just bees that much space. If you plan on putting a ton of books/music/ etc and if you plan on taking a lot of photos then get the bigger one. Otherwise, just get the 8 gb. I had the 8and I have a lot of books but nothing really else and I have plenty of storage.

• The moment you can't download another video - you will wish you got the extra space. The SD card technology is not stable yet with OS v5.0.1. My friends tell me I should have gone with a prior model and I tend to agree.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KINDLE FIRE HD 7 AND THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB?

• Screen size is different, hd8 has sd card slot, hd 7 screen has a slightly faster response. Hd8 does not have hdmi port like the hd7. I have Amazon underground on my hd8, but have not figured out if I can get it on the 7. The 8 is more like an android tablet (not exactly though); the 7 has the home screen "carousel ".All in all, I love both devices, but the hd8 is a little more updated, whereas the 7 is a little better quality. Pros and cons to both, it's best to pick out the features you can't live without and go with the device that has most of the features you want. Hope this helps.

• I am hardly a techno-expert, but the HD 8 was just released in one inch larger screen, but the same weight as the 7" so I was sold. I find it fits easily into a pocketbook, however, as I said, with no printed directions, I am still struggling to learn how to use it. I will try youtube. The screen is super-sharp by the way.

• Just the size I believe. The 7 is a 7in display and the 8 is an 8in display. We got the 8 because it was the only 16gb in stock at our local Best Buy. We love it though, it's perfect for watching movies on the go.

• I did not have the Kindle fire 7 so cannot answer your question sorry

• Slimmer and the 8 has an extra memory slot

DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB OFFER A NO SCREEN GLARE LIKE THE KINDLE?

• Yes, it works quite well in bright sunshine, I am very happy with mine! I have bought several of the smaller ( two six inch, three of the seven inch and two of the eight inch!) All but one as gifts, plus I have two of the first generation kindle that still work perfectly well, they just do not have the cameras. If you are hard on things, like dropping, they are very sturdy. I did purchase the two year replacement plans on them just in case, but I have had very little problem with them. The kids love them too!

• I assume when you mention Kendle you are referring to readers? I've had both the Kindle Fire HD 7 and 8 and while there is some reference to glare I find this only to be an issue when either outdoors or if there is a light source shinning from behind. I've been using the Fire HD products for years and have never found screen glare to be an issue.

• I have the older Kindle 8" and I can't see a thing when I try to read at the pool. It's useless in bright sun.

• The screen is shiny and you will see yourself looking back at you similar to a mirror.

• The screen is shiny and you will see yourself looking back at you similar to a mirror.

• Yes.The colors are also very defined and deep. Amazing quality.

I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TYPE OF TABLET. SINCE THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB REQUIRES WIFI TO CONNECT, HOW DO YOU USE THE FIRE 8 IN YOUR CAR TO USE SUCH THINGS AS MAPS?

• It connects if you can give it WIFI yourself. A real GPS is the best choice. One time purchase, search engine for locations, free signal, different travel styles. The company offers updates. Unlike a smart phone, its NOT limited to your (cellphone) provider's signal area. The GPS search engine makes a smart engine's location search pathetic. I have a relative who has to travel all over the state. He used more than one cellphone company. The phone signal cut out a lot more than the GPS

• You wouldn't be able to. It has to have a constant connection to WiFi for apps like that to work, like a laptop. Unless you have a new car with built in WiFi or a phone that can be a wireless hotspot, which in case you might as well just use your phone for maps, this will not work for things like that in your car. You can use it to read books or watch movies that have been previously downloaded. However, my experience with this kindle is it is very slow, and I'm returning mine.

• You would have to have Wi-Fi in your car. If you are looking for the ability to see maps in your car, a cell phone is a better choice.

• Really not feasible to use in car for maps.

DO I HAVE TO BE ON WIFI TO WATCH MOVIES OR IS THERE A WAY I CAN DOWNLOAD THEM SO WHEN WE GO ON TRIPS, MY SON CAN WATCH VIDEOS IN THE CAR OR PLANE?

• I'm able to download movies to all my Kindle devices including the my new Fire HD 8. Purchase the movie and put it in your library. Then download. I purchase the SD card and downloaded the movie to that. Depending on your connection speed on your home Wi-Fi, it might take up to 25 minutes for a movie like Frozen or Big Hero. But then you'll be able to watch while not connected since it is on your device. (like on a plane or in the car).

• You can download as many movies as you can fit. I have the 16gb and it can hold about 4-5 HD movies. What is also nice is downloads will automatically delete 48 hours after watching them.

• You can download a movie to the memory or the SD Card, however, it would not be from Prime, since it doesn't support download as far as I know

• Yes you can download then watch later. You will need the right amount of memory depending on the number of movies or shoes.

• You can download them and watch anytime! I bought a 32 GB SD card so i have plenty of storage space!

 CAN YOU USE MICROSOFT OFFICE?

• There is no app for office (Microsoft would have to develop that). But you can use OneDrive and OneNote. Microsoft does allow you to edit office documents on OneDrive. I have not tried it on the Fire myself, but I have on other devices. As for the Microsoft Office software it is not available on the Fire. If you have Office365 then you can pretty much edit documents on the web through a browser. For hardcore Office use it is best to get a Windows 10 device.

• I use an app called AlwaysOnPC mobile edition, and I do have access to Microsoft Office on my Kindle. However, I recommend that you think carefully when downloading such product onto your Kindle, and I say this because you have a lot less space to handle a large quantity of such apps. You can use Microsoft Office on your Kindle, but I would ask myself how much I will I be using this app on my Kindle.

• I don't know about Microsoft Office but I use an app called OfficeSuite Pro to create and/or edit Excel and Word documents. Someone else told me about an app called WPS Office plus PDF, but I haven't tried it.

• I agree with S. Kumar

• I agree with S. Kumar

DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB HAVE PAPER WHITE OR ANTI-GLARE? I WANT TO BE ABLE TO TAKE THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB OUTSIDE.

• I have no problems reading it outside even in direct sunlight. Because there are many choices of settings for the screen color, print color, text size, and more, you can find one that lets you read it in the sun. At night I always have the background black and the print white so I'm not keeping my husband awake with the glare of the screen. In fact, I use this setting most of the time because it's easier on my eyes. So, although I don't know the technology involved I do know you can read anywhere just by changing the setting.

• No, the Fire HD 8 is a Glass LCD Display Panel. The only way to use this outsude would be to have the brightness set all the way up. You may also try matte finish screen protectors, that reduces the Fire HD.8's glare and cost the same as standard screen protectors. Hope this helps.

• I'm not sure of the exact technology used, but I have read this unit outside in strong sunlight with no problems.

• I have read with it outside and as long as there isn't direct sunlight on it I was fine.

 IS THERE AN ON-SCREEN KEYBOARD?

• Duh!!! Yes... Amazing sound quality, screen impressive, quick streaming and internet speeds. Cover a must have, get Amazon brand the three year warranty.

• Duh!!! Yes... Amazing sound quality, screen impressive, quick streaming and internet speeds. Cover a must have, get Amazon brand the three year warranty.

• PT, I don't know yet. It will be a Christmas gift for my grandsons. I assume it will be like the iPad screen. It's wrapped up right now.

• It operates like many other smartphones do now. You swipe up or select where you want to type in a search field and a keyboard appears.

• Yes. It's similar to the keyboard on a touchscreen phone. It will pop up when you touch on an area that lets you enter text.

• Yes. It has the same keyboard functions as any other kindle tablet.

• Yes! It is activated any time you need to enter text

• Yes, it will display when you need to type

• Can't really say, only use for reading

• Yes

DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB HAVE GPS?

• There is many GPS apps. Just add one. Truthfully, doesn't matter what tablet, get a real GPS. You never need to pay for the signal. GPS=One-time purchase, not monthly payments. Since you're not limited to one company's signal area, the signal is not lost as easily. GPS do have build-in search engines. Updates are available; check that the company offers/sells them.

• NO. The Fire HD 8 does not have a GPS. Location based services use WiFi. You could add a GPS via bluetooth, but then if you have no WiFi signal, many map apps won't be able to update. Some map apps *will* let you download the map, or sections of the map, to allow you to use offline. Sorry. I have not tried them. You'll need to research more for those.

• It comes with a map app. I have used it to get directions while I am in the house, but have never tried it in the car. It does show a map of your location and a map of where you need to be

CAN KIDS USE THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB TABLET AS "KINDLE FIRE 7" FOR KIDS?

• The Kindle Fire is much more than e-reader, it is truly tablet that competes with the Apple IPad. So children haven't any problems using this device, it is us older adault are slower to get up to speed with this Kindle Fire. There is much available material young children to enjoy with this tablet.

• Yes. The Amazon Underground works pretty well on Fire HD. The only difference is that the kids version is quite robust and there is a 2 years replacement warranty on that (without any questions asked). I have bought Fire HD for my kid and both of us very satisfied with this purchase.

• Probably, but since the Kindle Fire for kids has an unconditional guarantee against breakage, and for less cost, why wouldn't you get the one for kids?

• I'm sure they can. As we all know our children/grandchildren know more than we do. I really enjoy mine.

• My 8 year old great grandson navigates through the Fire with no problems.

THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB HAS A DIFFERENT HOME SCREEN INSTEAD OF THE CAROUSEL. HOW DO I DELETE UNWANTED INSTALLED APPS FROM THE HOME SCREEN?

• Locate your Settings screen (put your finger at the top of the home screen and swipe downward, select settings). Then go to Apps and Games > Manage All Applications, from there find the app you want to delete and tap on it. When it opens you'll see an uninstall button located on the top right. If you just want to hide apps instead of deleting: on the home screen, press and hold the app and then drag to another app that you also want to hide, this will create a "folder" you can drag and drop as many apps as you want into this folder. I renamed my folder "Apps I'll Probably Never Use". As for pre-installed apps, it appears you can disable them but not uninstall them. Hope this helps.

• Try touching the app, and holding it for a second.

• Not sure

DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB HAVE TO COME WITH THE DICTIONARY AND OTHER DISTURBING THINGS THAT POP-UP? THE SCREEN IS TOO SENSITIVE FOR OLDER ARTHRIC HANDS.

• It does come with a dictionary. I elected to pay the extra money to get rid of the ads. I think the screen is ok for my use but I don't have arthritic hands. I would recommend going to Best Buy where they have the Fire 8 on display and it can check it out for comfort. The volume and power buttons are rather small and pretty much blend in with the case. You might have a problem with that.

• You can get rid of the pop-ups that are ads by paying an additional fee for Amazon to remove them. Have you tried using a stylus instead of your hands? My Fire has the opposite problem; I don't think my screen is sensitive enough. :) Finally, I'm not sure about the dictionary.

• No I don't have any problems with that it is really a great Kindle

 IS THERE A HDMI PORT?

• Sadly, no if you don't have a newer flat sceen and can mirror there is no way to get true HD to your television unless you can find a USB to HDMI that works and doubtful that will produce a true HD signal! I was going to buy this TODAY to replace a HD Fire 7" that died but no HDMI port cancels that!

• Nope, you have to buy the HDX and pay $300+ to get the ports for your TV (HDMI) and computer (USB). I only wanted it for books and occasional email/movie so the was an excellent value for me. I've used it for about 2 weeks now and love it.

• No there isn't. There is a headphone jack, a power Jack, and a slot for an sd card.

• I think you share via bluetooth, not by a wire.

• No there is not.

• No

• No

CAN YOU DOWNLOAD MOVIES AND TV SHOWS TO THE SD CARD OR DO THEY NEED TO BE ON THE INTERNAL MEMORY?

• No, because it can cause copyright issues. Use the cloud; you don't have to have it downloaded. Once you install the app, the cloud is usable on your TV/computer/game system/etc. Granted, the app is not the best designed, but its worth it. (You can add your shows to cloud through the Amazon.com or the app.)

• I have no idea, this tablet has been taken over by my grandson I would expect it goes to SD card first then to internal .

• I don't know. I was so disappointed with the quality of this kindle I sent everything back. Sorry. Good luck.

• I have Prime. The movies download to the SD card. Average movie is about 3.5 to 4 megabytes.

• No movies on the SIM card only games

• Internal only

CAN YOU PLAY GAMES ON THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB, LIKE SUDOKU, SOLITARE, ETC.? CANYOU GET AN APP TO DO SO?

• I play candy crush, bingo blitz, witchy world, bingo bash, tasty tale and Facebook. I also can do my banking with my credit union and I also can ID plants that I am not familiar with. I am very pleased with my purchase you will too.

• Yes you can play games on it and I do have sudoku and solitaire among other games. You get them from the Amazon app store and can order them from the device. There are many good free games available.

• Once you download the game app you can play thousands of games

• Yes! They have their own app store with tons of free games.

• Down apps for whatever games you want to play

• Yes you can.

• Yes to both

• Yes to both

CAN I READ UNDER THE SUN?

• I purchased a matte screen protector sheet that works well and allows for reading in the sun. I bought it along with my Fire 8. NuPro Fire HD 8 Screen Protector Kit (2-Pack) (5th Generation - 2015 release) , Anti-Glare

• You can read under the sun only if you apply a sunscreen of 30 spf or higher.......really not very good for reading in the sun.It is a terrible product. I returned mine. '

• Just like a phone, the screen is backlit so yes. Usually if you can't see it, you just raise the brightness.

• Yes i have no problem w/it in the sun or bright lights very pleased w/the performance of this fireHD

• Yes it isn't a strain on your eyes

HOW IS FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB FOR READING IN SUNLIGHT?

• I've tried reading in the car & if it's too sunny it's hard to read. I do love my new fire tablet,, but at this point I don't think it's going to be too good in the sun. That really isn't a problem for me because I can't spend a lot of time in the sun because of the medication I'm on. Hope this helps you.

• I've found them to be okay if you adjust your angle. You're better off using a kindle reader though.

• It works pretty well. I often use it to read outside and I've not experienced any problems.

• I find it easier to turn my back to the sun and hold the Fire in my shadow.

• There is some glare but otherwise it is okay but not a deal breaker

CAN YOU USE THE KINDLE WHILE THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB IS CHARGING?

• Yes. So far, I have been quite pleased with the Fire HD 8. The display is crisp, the sound pretty good and the multi-functionality is great.

• Yes, you can still use it while it is plugged in. However, you will not achieve optimal charging speed while in use.

• I use it while its charging and haven't notice any difference with it . games, and movies still run nicely.

• Yes, I do it often. But not for very long. I will finish what I am doing and close it to charge.

• Yes. Especially if you are watching video for extended periods.

• Well sure, but the cord is a bit short.

• Yes but it is not good to do

• Ye, you can.

• Yes....

• YES

CAN YOU USE THE SAME CHARGER AS FOR THE 6 INCH KINDLE FIRE?

• Yes...you can use any charger with a micro-usb plug for any of the Fire tablets. The device controls the amount of amps it will draw, so no harm will come to a tablet, though some chargers can supply power more quickly than others, resulting in a tablet charging more slowly when using a "weaker" charger than one it might prefer.

• Yes . . . the "8" comes with charger [cord] which will work with the "6" and "8" . . . the [charger] cord that comes with the "8" will take a slightly longer time to charge the "6" because it is low voltage . . . by the way - I love my new "8" . . .

• It is also a mini USB charger. The new does come with a new charger.

 DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB INCLUDED 5W MICRO-USB POWER ADAPTER WORK WTHE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GBH A 230 V OUTLET?

• No. Amazon 5w, 1A power adapter works in US, Canada, Mexico, Taiwan and Japan. You would be better off buying a generic USB adapter that provides 1- to 2-amp output. Amazon has one for less than $6, with prime shipping available. AmazonBasics Wall Charger with USB Outlet (2.1 Amp Output) This one works on 100-240VAC.

• I really do not know. I have only had it for a week. I used the enclosed plug on my computer and i also plugged it into a wall outlet. Not sure what the difference is. The kindle charged both ways. Sorry if I was not more help.

• Not with a 230 v outlet at least mine didn't.

DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB HAVE STEREO SPEAKERS? TECH SPEC SAYS "DOLBY SPEAKER"........

• The unit does have 2 speakers plus a place to plug in your head phones. The sound is not bad however I do not listen to too much music however when I watched the NFL game from London the sound was clear and fully understandable.

• No stereo speakers, but the sound seems to be better than my Kindle Fire; I'm not sure stereo would make such a great difference.

• I don't know if it is dolby speakers, but it sounds about the same as my previous Kindle Fire.

• Yes it does. The speakers are really good, better than the older models (I bought in 2009).

• I am not sure what stereo speaker means, but it does get really loud !

• No it does not

DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB HAVE A NOOK APP?

• I have not looked for a nook app, mostly because there are so many available through Amazon. I also read books from a site called Bookbub. Many of those are free or 99¢ to $2.99. If you continue your Amazon Prime membership, $99.00 a year you can "borrow" books, music and movies. I absolutely recommend The Kindle.

• I have not seen the app myself, but I do believe that there is an app that will allow you to read a nook book on your Kindle Fire. However, I have never tried to install the app to know how good it works or even how much it costs, but as I said I heard that there is a nook app for the Kindle Fire.

• That's the competition, why would it have a nook app?

CAN I TRANSFER GAMES/GAME HISTORY FROM AN OLD KINDLE TO THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB?

• All the games I had purchased (which were mainly kids game) and books I had purchased from amazon were transferable. The couple games I have for myself I never kept a history for so I guess I can answer just half of your question

• Yes at least with poker. Just set up both kindled in the same account and the game can be played with either kindle and the money in your pot automatically updates on both.

• I don't have a ton of games, but Yahtzee with Buddies and Candy Crush were just as I left off. I didn't lose any levels.

• Also, if your devices are all under the same account with Amazon then you shouldn't have any problems.

CAN YOU DOWN LOAD PROGRAMS LIKE A TAX PROGRAM TO DO YOUR TAX THAN COPY TO A FLASH DRIVE TO PRINT SOMEWHERE ELSE?

• Yes, you will most likely need an OTG cable to attach your flash drive to the tablet. You can also get a micro SD card to add more storage space.

• Not sure about tax stuff but I did download office suite and used it to type a letter and tranfered it to my computer to print.

• Probably, but loading materials onto the flash drive is difficult, if not impossible - much more difficult than other tablets.

• No, you need to use a computer to do that. I would never use a tablet of any kind for taxes.

• Don't know about downloading tax programs, but device doesn't have USB port.

 HOW IS THE BATTERY LIFE?

• Battery life isn't like the older versions. I get about 6 hrs out of mine vs the HD where I'd get 10 hrs or more. But it's still a great tablet. I'd recommend it. Nice thin. Lightweight. Nice display , audio is amazingly LoI'd and the amazon underground has some real cool apps for free. Which other kindles didn't have.

• That has yet to be tested. As the ones I have purchased are Christmas presents. But if they are like the HD 7s that we have now? You're looking at 4 to 6 hours of use, depending on how bright you have the display.

• Ok. I find that it helps if you turn it off instead of just shutting the covet

• Battery life is very good. I keep the display brightness in auto mode.

CAN YOU PLAY THE GAME HAYDAY ON THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB UNIT?

• I did a search for Hay Day and it doesn't show up in Amazon's library. From what I understand it is very difficult or impossible to access Google Play on the Fire HD devices so until Amazon adds Hay Day to it's library the answer is no. It's a popular game so I'm sure they will add it at some point as my search did turn up an app that is a guide for the Hay Day game.

• I don't play games so I don't know. But I can say I like this model enough to give it 5 stars. Best is ability to expand storage with a a flash card.

• I downloaded Hay Night and Day easily. I don't know how well it plays.

HOW DO I TURN MY KINDLE HD8 ON?

• Depress the button on the upper (top) right side of the kindle. If that does not work, then try charging the device, as it is possible the power has depleted. The battery must have at least 3% charge in order to show a display. These responses are based directly on my experieces. Hope it helps.

• There's a power button in the top right corner. Pressing it is supposed to turn it on. If it doesn't work, maybe hold it down for a few seconds? I've never had that problem before.

• Push the button on the side left top corner

• Push power button on the top right

• Press the button on top.

• Make sure it's charged!

WHAT SERVICE DO YOU HAVE TO SUB. TO GET ALL OF THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB STUFF?

• You connect to the internet with a wifi but to watch services like netflix, Hulu, HBO NOW you do have to pay a subscription fee. You can download videos from Amazon Video and pay per movie or tv episode or as a Amazon Prime Member you can download for "free". And while many other apps/games do require payment there are plenty that are free.

• I don't know what you are asking. Your question does not make sense.

• Any wireless service such as Verizon or Sprint will work.

• Any internet service. I have Comcast here.

• Any wireless/cable service.

• Any internet service.

CAN YOU ACCESS YOUR AMAZOM MUSIC LIBRARY AND PLAY THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB THROUGH THE USB IN A CAR??

• As for USB, that may depend on your device. My car isn't capable. The kindle is too high-tech. My car only reads USB with songs downloaded, not other software. I haven't looked into an app to solve this problem. Also, the Kindle may only think its a power charge connection rather than feeding music. Honestly, literally, try asking Amazon directly. You can at least use the Aux cable. (Not going to have the same sound results as a CD or USB.)

• I can access my music, however I don't have a USB in my car. I do have speakers I attach, so I would assume this can be done.

I HAVE A KINDLE FIRE HDX 7 INCH, IS THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB AN UPGRADE FOR THE ONE I HAVE OR IS THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB AN INFERIOR PRODUCT?

• Do not purchase the hd8.8. it's junk, purchase the new hdx 8.9 and you should be quite pleased. no guarantees, but i had the the. 8.8 and it went back 3 times in 3 weeks i've always had problems wth my kindles, but i think this one is finally a good product.

• No it is not an upgrade to your kindle. It is slightly larger, but does not have some of the features you have such as 24/7 mayday.

• I like the new verision since you can add a usb chip to the new versions.

• I am quite happy with mine!

IS THERE ACCESS TO A GRAPHING SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR?

• Not already loaded in the Fire . It has pretty much a standard calculator , Trig. functions , Pi. ( ) and roots . Now that's not to say you can't get " an App. for that " . I would say that if your going to use your tablet for that , you may want to look more toward one of those Lap top / Tablet kinda thingys . Now , if you just want to display your graph , and maybe some text to explain your intent , I do believe you can download that from a computer as a document on to Fire . Working with it afterwards , ??

• I do not think so. This is a basic low-end tablet.

• Yes, meta-calculator.com

CAN YOU READ A BOOK OUTSIDE WITHOUT GLARE?

• I don't know. After about 30 days my Kindle Fire stopped working. The videos I downloaded kept freezing mid way through. If you buy this good luck!

• I don't know, I don't read books outside. The voyage reader has a non glare screen so that might be the better choice.

• Not in direct sun light on the screen but otherwise yes if you turn the back light all the way to bright.

• Indirect sunlight is ok, direct no. I continue to prefer my kindle paperwhite for reading books.

• No, there is glare, But I have a kindle paperwhite that is perfect for outside as well!

 WHAT DOES SPONSORED LOCKSCREEN MEAN?

• When you go turn on the unit there will be a advertisement. You would have had to refuse this when you ordered and then would have to pay more to remove the advertisement. I think the up charge is $15.00. If ads only on opening do not bother you, it doesn't me and this is my 5th Kindle, then don't worry about it.

• It just means that your lockscreen is an ad from different companies. It does not really bother me since as soon as you swipe it, the ad is gone.

• Avertisements from a paying companies or organizations are on you lock screen rather than a wallpaper you choose.

DOES THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB HAVE A CAROUSEL ON THE HOME PAGE? THANK YOU

• Yes, there are a number of named category "pages". Apps, Music, Newsstand etc., which you can slide the page left or right to change. Also slide up to show icons that may not appear on the screen due excessive icons on the page.

• I am Not sure it has been approximately 3 weeks and I still have not received this purchase. Sender claims they sent it to the wrong address.

• I don't know what a carousel is? You can choose your apps across the top so that would be a carousel I hope that answers your question

IS THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB AN UPGRADE FROM THE KINDLE FIRE HDX?

• Yes. We have both an 8 inch hdx and hd. The hd is smaller, lighter and has a better screen. It is faster and has a front and rear camera as compared to hdx. Ability to add storage is a real plus. It does not have an hdmi port like the hdx. Also, the price is right! I'm seriously looking at the 10 inch for me. Wife has 8 inch hd and won't let me touch it.

• It is larger and you can add storage with a "chip". It also has two cameras. All depends on what you use it for.

• Yes

CAN I INSTALL A WEB BROWSER SUCH AS CHROME OR FIREFOX?

• Yes, and you will want to...the Silk browser leaves A LOT to be desired...you can most certainly run Firefox and Dolphin and download flash as well. There are you tube tutorials that will show you how to do this, you will need to download a file manager first.

• Actually I can't install Chrome because Amazon app stire doesn't have it. Even when I downloaded from google site the crhome app doesn't work properly.

• I think, Chrome, you can. I 'm not sure about Firefox.

• Yes you can.

• Yes you can. I did. Don't cheap out on the storage. Buy the largest you can afford. You will not be sorry!

• Yes you can. The SD slot is on the right side of the device.

• Yes, but I haven't done so yet.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE THE SIZE OF A FIRE DEVICE? DO YOU MEASURE THE VIEWING SCREEN DIAGNALLY TO DETERMINE WHAT SIZE CASE TO BUY?

• If you are ordering a case online I would recommend that you put the name of the device in the search, that would be the easiest way to make sure you get a case that fits and also designed with the control openings specifically for your device.

• The device is measured diagonally from corner to corner. They have it listed as an 8.8 but the case size is 8.9 everywhere I go.

• I ordered a Incipio Clarion Folio Fire HD 8 case that fits perfetly

IS THERE A COVER FOR THE NEW KINDLE FIRE HD 8 THAT CAN TURN THE SCREEN OFF WHEN THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB IS CLOSED?

• Yes there are many cases that do turn the screen off. Check in the description of the products and it should say if it does or does not.

• Yes I got one with my hd8 and I love it, although it does add a little weight .I recommend getting one !

• If you buy it. The kindle offers an automatic sleep mode too. Just have to adjust the settings.

• Yes. You can find it on Amazon.com

• Yes there is

CAN MAGAZINES BE READ EASILY ON THE 8 INCH MODEL?

• I've never had a magazine on my Kindle Fire, so I don't know. I know that the print is adjustable. I've read many books on it, and have been very happy with it.

• Yes, it seems it was designed with that on mind. Unfortunately, there are so many ads and confusing icons that it's a step down...

• Yes but it is a bit small. Depending on the magazine. You can pinch and zoom in to read better

• Yes, they look great...it's the perfect size for magazines.

• Yes

CAN TWO APPS RUN SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH TABS AND/OR SPLIT SCREEN?

• For the most part, no. I can run music while reading/search and some games, but the music/audio app doesn't show at the same time. The web browse saves all the websites open until you close the sites. Split screen is actually advanced programming. That can would hog up most memory.

• It appears that multiple apps can run at the same time in tabs. I haven't found anything about viewing in split screen. I hope this helps you.

• I don't think so.

• No split screens

CAN YOU PUT MOVIES ON THE MICROSD AND VIEW THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB ON THE KINDLE?

• Mine only has wifi access. I think they make one with phone capabilites but you have to have a paid provider such as AT&T

• No, not unless you have some kind of wi-fi hotspot access. It's not like a phone that can connect to the internet via 4g.

• If you have wifi in your car, sure. It just needs a wifi connection for online use

• If u have portable WiFi or WiFi build in car

• Not without a mobile provider

IF A BOOK HAS AN INDEX DO THOSE INDEX PAGE NUMBERS EQUATE TO FIRE PAGE NUBERS FOR THAT BOOK? ARE THOSE PAGES EASILY ACCESSED?

• Some books just track by "Location Number" and others by "Page Number". either way, you cannot directly access the specific page or location randomly. As you read, you can track your progress by the percentage that is displayed in the lower right corner of each screen.

• I don't know. My husband been using it.He's been working on it.Just arrived few week's ago.

HOW DO I TRANSFER FROM ONE KINDLE TO A NEW KINDLE?

• I didn't have to, the machine knows. When I buy (rent or get free) new books it asks me which of my kindles I'd like it to go to. When I opened my new Kindle, all my previous books from my old Kindle were already there. This new Kindle is so amazing, what an improvement. I love it.

• Go to cloud or connect to your modem address or pull down the top screen and see all info to tranfer

I DO NOT HAVE A WIFI TV. HOW DO I WATCH FROM KINDLE HD 8 TO TV ?

• The only print function I saw was in he silk browser. I use the device mainly for music and streaming. Bluetooth works well. I use that in the gym. I have not even tried to print anything. I wish I could be of more help. Best bet would be to talk to technical help @ Amazon.

• Yes u can

WILL THE FIRE 8 HD DISPLAY WI-FI 8GB UNIT PLAY WITH THE CHARGER PLUGGED IN AND CHARGING?

• Yes it does

 CAN YOU TEXT?
