• We just recently purchased for New Years. When first started (cold) it sounds like a rocket taking off - only if opened to FULL. I believe that is too much gas pressure for safely starting on a full tank. Turning it down a little (medium) to start and warm up a minute or too, avoids the noise and is safer starting. Then, after releasing the pushed-in knob and warming a minute, I can turn it up to Full - now with no rocket sound (quiet again) and tons of heat. Works great for us. Hope that helps.
• When you first turn it on it will make some crackling noise until it gets to a certain temperature, make sure all your bolts are tight. it should stop making noises , ours is very quiet after it warms up to temperature.
• We purchased two of these but have only assembled one of them. We did not use it at the highest setting & felt the heat level was more than adequate. I do recall that when testing, it is loud at the highest setting.
• Ours came and it is not noisy at all. Not sure about adjustments. Make sure the valve is connected to the tank tight
WHAT TYPE OF SCREWS ARE IN THE PACKAGE? MINE CAME WITHOUT THE SCREWS AND I WAS GOING TO BUY AT HOME DEPOT.
• The screws were included with wrenches and they were organized and easy to assemble- contact the seller and ask them to supply them to you- Love our heater so far- do not buy at home depot

• Ours is about 18" from the ceiling on an outside covered open patio not screened in, We were worried about the heat to the ceiling In the beginning and my husband checked it numerous times ensuring that the heat was not too hot. When asking him your question he said he would wonder about Carbon Monoxide poisoning in the screened/enclosed area. With all that said we love ours and purchased a 2nd one for the other side of our patio.
• No. Although the lid sends heat downward, it gets hot enough to cook eggs on. I would get a tabletop model

• This patio heater uses a BBQ tank inside the base. BBQ tanks are filled with propane gas which is available almost everywhere by exchanging tanks or refilling. The heater does not use natural gas.
• It uses bottle gas that you can find at most grocery stores. It is same bottled gas that you use on a barbeque grill.
• Large tank regular oropane like you use for the grill

• The head removal, about 21 inches of height, is not difficult. 6 screws I think and I take out the propane tank so lighter to move so that disconnect to the head is already done.
• Yes, but you don't gain much. You could pull the burner unit off the top and collapse the 2-piece stem, but you still have big pieces to store.

• Not sure, but if you release the control knob and let it go back to it's normal position (i.e. up as oppsed to down), you should then be able to turn the knob from high to low. Hope is works.
• Hmmm we didn't experience that. The knob comes reassembled so if it's not turning it might be defective.

• It uses the 5 gallon/20lb tank pictured in the recommended accessories / also purchased with illustrations..
• I bought it as a gift so I have not personally used it but I believe it fits a standard 20 lb tank.
• Standard size propane tank. Same tank that fits a gas grill. 15 pounds
• The heater requires a standard 20-pound LP gas cylinder

• I will see if I can measure later today. It would be very nice if the seller put the height as part of the information. I bought them for my patio and they were way too tall. My ceiling height of my patio is probably 9 feet.

• I don't see why not. The heater is maybe 8' tall. I don't think much heat would go up that high, but even if it did I don't see that causing a problem.
• I use it under a metal roof. The local fire depth was not too stoked. Never had any problems.

• Turn it counterclockwise and depress the knob to light it with the igniter. Once the flame is lit, let the knob spring out then turn it counterclockwise further to the setting you want.
• Mine works fine, you may not have bled out the line completely
